Presidential election years are always under increased focus and scrutiny, but the 2016 election with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton has been one for the record books. States and counties have implemented new technologies to improve the voting process on the backend and frontend. For example, electronic pollbooks, improved network connectivity and smartphone integration are just some of the things we've seen states and counties roll out this year in preparation for the election.
