CDW to Broaden IT Solutions Capabilities for Government with Sirius Acquisition

The acquisition will enhance CDW’s service and solutions capabilities for state and local government IT organizations.

CDW has acquired Sirius Computer Solutions, one of the largest U.S. IT solutions integrators, in a deal that is expected to accelerate and enhance its capabilities in a wide range of areas, including hybrid infrastructure, security, digital and data innovation, and cloud and managed services.

Sirius’ capabilities include helping counties deploy converged infrastructure to provide seamless data and application transparency across two data centers. Sirius has also helped implement financial process automation tools to help a state save millions of dollars automating all accounts-payable operations into a shared process across 57 different state agencies.

The acquisition is expected to broaden CDW’s IT services portfolio and create opportunities to deepen relationships with customers and expand customer reach.

“As customers require increasingly complex and critical digital transformation initiatives, Sirius’ broad portfolio of world-class technology-based solutions and services-led approach will immediately add to our capabilities to meet this demand,” CDW CEO Christine Leahy says in a statement. “Combining our businesses will accelerate progress on our three-part growth strategy by augmenting our portfolio and enhancing our ability to deliver customer-centric outcomes across the full technology solutions stack and lifecycle.”
