  • There's pressure on public IT organizations to allow employees to use their personal devices on government networks.
  • The potential cost savings are attractive, as is alleviating users from having to carry mutliple mobile devices.
  • It's likely that some such devices are getting on networks — even without official programs.
  • BYOT requires use and security policies that both employees and management must sign off on.
